Is improving yourself part of your job?

June 16, 2021 Published by admin

Can I let you in on a little secret

When I started this whole coaching gig, I was encouraged REQUIRED to do this thing called personal development – everyday. And so (almost) every day since I started coaching, I’ve been reading a few pages of a book, listening to a podcast, watching a video or listening to an audiobook that helps me improve some area of my life. Sometimes it’s about relationships, sometimes it’s business, sometimes it’s mindset or motivation or time management, and on and on and on. Sometimes it’s for 10 minutes and sometimes it’s an hour or more because it’s THAT good.

Those few minutes every day have added up to some BIG changes in my life. (for the better, of course). My mindset has totally shifted and I am much happier for it. I started my coaching business the day after a crappy relationship ended and I’ve never looked back. It’s the personal development that helped me leave all that in the past. I wake up everyday feeling passionate about life and after my workout and morning routine I feel unstoppable And now I am pretty much addicted to constantly learning and growing and becoming the absolute best version of myself.

Is this part of your job, {{contact.first_name}}? If not, then let me be the first to encourage you to add in these few minutes a day, starting now! Whether you want to improve your marriage, parenting, work/career life, mindset, health & fitness or whatever else there is to work on in your life – I promise you there is something or someone out there to learn from!

So here’s a list of my top faves, spread across different areas of life, so you have somewhere to start. Be sure to reply and let me know what you chose!

This week kicked off with National Chocolate Ice Cream day, so I can’t let you go without sharing this amazing guilt-free recipe for your own quick at-home chocolate ice cream treat! It’s one of my favorite ways to get my daily superfoods during the summers. If you don’t have Shakeology, you can use a chocolate protein powder you have on hand, or a vanilla one with cocoa powder. (But definitely recommend the real deal!)

Ingredients

  • 1 large banana cut into chunks
  • ½ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 scoops Chocolate Whey Shakeology
  • 2 Tbsp. all-natural smooth peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Place banana in plastic bag; freeze for 4 hours, or until completely frozen.
  2. Place almond milk, bananas, Shakeology, and peanut butter in blender (or food processor); cover. Blend until smooth.
  3. Serve immediately or freeze in an airtight container up to five days until ready to eat.

Hope you love it as much as I do! And I hope your summer is off to an amazing start!

Just remember…

A perfect summer body is one you love and enjoy yourself in.

One that carries you and maybe even a kiddo or 2 to the park or beach or pool.
One that is covered in marks and bumps and bruises from the memories & experiences of life.
And one that shows up every day for those you love.
So show that summer body some love and embrace everything about it!
