Community isn’t something I ever thought I needed.

I’ve always been pretty independent, running my own business, figuring things out for myself. I guess moving 5k miles from home to live I left my community of friends and support behind.

That was until I started coaching and building a community of like minded people, and building a business together.

They say you become the sum of the 5 people you spend most time with.

Being by myself and left alone with my own thoughts I had piled on the weight, slumped into a negative mindset and was struggling. In joining a community of passionate go getters, who were all working towards similar goals elevated my mindset, it gave me positive role models to copy and learn from, it held me accountable to a higher standard in everything I did.

It helped me to change my habits, to eat better, workout consistently and generally raise my standard in every area of life in business, relationships and with my health.

If you are stuck in any area of life, whether it be your Health and well-being, your finances, your relationships, take a look around at who you spend your time with the most. What is their Health like? What are their finances like? What are their relationships like? I bet you’ll find they are a reflection of your own.

Now I’m not saying go and ditch all your friends and family but if you want to improve any area of your life go and start hanging out with people and associating with people who are living the life you want.

If you want to be wealthy go and hang out where wealthy people hang out. If you want to be a surfer, go an and hang out with surfers, if you want to be a property investor go and hang out with property investors. If you want to be fit and healthy go and hang out with fit and healthy people. What you’ll find is, the more time you spend with them, the more their ideas and habits will rub off on you. And you’ll start to use them as your own.

You won’t see a fit and healthy person tucking into 5 pints and a kebab every weekend. They’ll be out hiking, or heading to the gym, or something of the like. Just like you won’t find someone whose wealthy binge watching episodes of love island every night. They will be out networking, or educating themselves on how to grow and improve their business.
